Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has released a notification for 1 Project Assistant post under an ANRF-funded research project in the Department of Chemistry, School of Physical and Chemical Sciences. The project is titled "Regulation of conformational transitions in nucleic acids by chemical modulators: A therapeutic strategy for genetic diseases" (ANRF/ECRG/2025/004748/CS, dated 29 May 2026), and is led by Dr. Saptarshi Ghosh, Assistant Professor. This is a contractual research role that starts for one year and can be extended up to three years, matching the full duration of the project, which began on 3 June 2026. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a B.Sc degree in Chemistry from a recognised university.
• Preferred: Candidates with an M.Sc and good knowledge of physical chemistry, basic analytical techniques, and data analysis will be preferred.
• Experience: No fixed work experience is required, but your qualification and any experience must be from a recognised institute.

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 28 years to apply for this post.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 27,000 per month plus HRA.
• No other service benefits will be paid, since this is a contractual project position and not a regular university appointment.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stage:

1. Interview: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their bio-data, statement of marks, experience, and testimonials, and called for an offline interview at CUSB, Gaya.

No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview, so you should make your own travel arrangements. Merely meeting the essential qualification does not guarantee an interview call.
