The Department of Biochemistry, University of Calcutta has announced a walk-in interview for 1 Project Assistant position to work on a DBT-funded research project titled "Deciphering the molecular mechanism of cyclic nucleotide signalling in modulation of cytokine, chemokines and antimicrobial peptides in macrophage biology: Implications for intervention strategies." This is a temporary position that continues until the project is completed. Candidates with hands-on experience in cell culture, RNA sequencing, and computer applications will be preferred, making this a good opportunity for recent M.Sc. graduates interested in biomedical research.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need an M.Sc. degree from any recognized university.
• Desirable: Candidates with 2 years of experience and hands-on training in cell culture, RNA sequencing, and computer applications will be preferred.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a fellowship of Rs. 20,000 per month, plus 24% HRA as per DBT, Government of India norms.
• This is a temporary, project-linked position that continues until the project is completed.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written test for this post. Selection is through:
