CSIR-NAL MTS Recruitment 2026: Overview

CSIR National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL) is recruiting Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) through direct recruitment for its Bengaluru laboratory. This is a regular Council service post built around practical office support, record movement and upkeep across sections. The written examination is held only in Bengaluru, while the appointment carries All India Service Liability and can later involve a transfer to another CSIR laboratory, institute or centre. If you are comfortable with hands-on support work and a structured central-government workplace, the role offers a clear entry route into CSIR service.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Probation: The initial probation period is two years. The competent authority may shorten or extend it, and confirmation follows only after successful completion.
• Transfer liability: The first posting is at CSIR-NAL, Bengaluru, but you may be transferred anywhere in India when the Council needs your services.
• Pension and benefits: The appointment is covered by the National Pension System along with medical facilities, Leave Travel Concession and Children Education Allowance under the rules applicable to CSIR staff.
• Accommodation: Council housing may be offered when available. House Rent Allowance is not paid when Council accommodation is allotted.
• Reserved-category claims: OBC-NCL status must match the Central List, while EWS and other concession certificates must be valid on the closing date and in the prescribed Government of India format.
• Examination venue: The competitive test will take place in Bengaluru only. Requests for a different centre will not be accepted, and travel costs for the examination are not reimbursed.
• Application scrutiny: Details are checked first from the form and enclosures. Your candidature can be cancelled later if the original records do not support a qualification, category or concession claimed in the application.
• Vacancy position: The advertised requirement is provisional. CSIR-NAL may increase, reduce or leave positions unfilled for administrative reasons.

Send the prescribed form and enclosures by Speed Post or courier only to The Director, CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, Post Bag No. 1779, HAL Airport Road, Kodihalli, Bengaluru 560017, Karnataka. Email, hand delivery and other modes are not accepted, and CSIR-NAL does not take responsibility for postal delay.

Write "Application for the Post of MTS, Advt. No.11/2026" on the envelope. Where the fee applies, enclose the Demand Draft and write your name and father's name on its reverse. Serving employees must also include their employer's No Objection Certificate and vigilance clearance with the hard copy.

Keep a photocopy of the completed form, enclosures and Demand Draft for your own record. Certificates in a language other than Hindi or English need an attested transcript from a Gazetted Officer or Notary. Recruitment updates, addenda and corrigenda will appear on the CSIR-NAL website, so check it regularly after sending the application.
