CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM) is recruiting project staff for the CSIR-funded HCP-002601 Jigyasa project, which connects scientists with school students through research, innovation and outreach. Posts and Disciplines

• Project Associate-I, Computer Science: manages collaborative tools for science education and helps create virtual science content. Knowledge of games, animation and simulation development is useful for this stream.
• Project Associate-I, Science Outreach: supports hands-on science workshops, educational-content development, research summaries and interactions between students and scientists.
• Project Associate-II: handles advanced content writing, scientific documentation and the coordination of lab visits, workshops and similar project activities.
• Senior Project Associate: plans and runs science-outreach activities, manages the working team and keeps programme delivery aligned with project requirements.

Post-wise Duties

Project Associate-I, Computer Science

You will support virtual science-learning material, administer collaborative tools and help develop digital activities that make research easier for school students to understand. The work can include games, animation or simulations where the project needs them.

Project Associate-I, Science Outreach

You will prepare student-friendly science content, assist with practical workshops and turn research into short, clear summaries. You will also help scientists and students communicate during outreach sessions.

Project Associate-II

You will write detailed content, keep scientific records and programme documents, and coordinate lab visits, workshops and related activities. Your prior experience should help the team organise events and report their outcomes accurately.

Senior Project Associate

You will plan and oversee science camps, workshops and student-scientist interactions. You will coordinate the team, track compliance and help ensure that activities at Jammu or Srinagar meet the Jigyasa project's purpose.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: the engagement begins for one year or the remaining project period, whichever ends first, and may be extended or shortened according to project need and performance.
• Project term: the current project runs up to 31 March 2031, but an individual's engagement remains subject to review and cannot exceed the overall CSIR project-staff limit stated in the notice.
• No regular claim: these sponsored positions do not give you a right to absorption in CSIR-IIIM or another CSIR laboratory.
• Stipend condition: the applicable rate depends on the qualification and national-examination category stated for the post. HRA is payable only when institutional accommodation is neither used nor provided.
• Interview language: you may interact with the selection committee in English or Hindi; the interview will be held online through MS Teams.
• Document check: original qualification, birth-date, category and relaxation records will be checked after selection or empanelment, and a mismatch can cancel the result.
• Existing project staff: anyone already engaged on a CSIR-IIIM project must get an office-issued No Objection Certificate before applying for a new position.
• Position availability: the institute may adjust the openings to project need or decide not to fill one or more advertised roles.
