Who Can Apply?

Research and Project Associate Posts

• Research Associate (P): Ph.D. in Chemistry. Catalyst synthesis, characterization and high-pressure or high-temperature reaction experience are desirable.
• Senior Project Associate: M.Sc. in Chemistry or Polymer Science with 3 years of R&D experience. Polymer synthesis and coating experience is desirable.
• Project Associate-II: M.Sc. Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, M.Tech Chemical Engineering, B.Tech Biotechnology or B.Tech Chemical Engineering, as listed for the specific position code. Several posts need 2 years of experience.
• Project Associate-I: M.Sc. Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Agri Entomology, B.Tech Chemical/Biotech or M.Pharm in the notified subject. Some posts offer a higher stipend for NET/GATE qualified candidates.

Project Assistant Posts

• Project Assistant-II: B.Sc. in Statistics, Computer Science or Agriculture, depending on the position code.
• Result status: Your qualifying result must already be declared. Final semester or result-awaited candidates are not allowed for posts where the minimum qualification is mandatory.
• CSIR project tenure rule: Candidates who have already served for 6 years or more in CSIR project positions are not considered for these engagements.

Age Limit

• Research Associate, Project Associate and Project Assistant posts: upper age limit is mostly 35 years.
• Senior Project Associate: upper age limit is 40 years.
• Age date: age is counted as on the walk-in interview date for the relevant position code.
• Relaxation: SC, ST, OBC, women and PwBD candidates get age relaxation as per Government of India/CSIR rules.

Salary

• Research Associate (P): Rs. 58,000 plus 27% HRA, about Rs. 73,660 per month.
• Senior Project Associate: Rs. 42,000 plus 30% HRA, about Rs. 54,600 per month.
• Project Associate-II: Rs. 28,000 plus HRA where mentioned, with HRA rates of 27% or 30% for several posts.
• Project Associate-I: Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 31,000 plus HRA where mentioned. The Rs. 31,000 rate applies to selected NET/GATE-linked posts.
• Project Assistant-II: Rs. 20,000 plus HRA where mentioned.

Application Fee

Selection Process
