Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Ranipur, Haridwar has released a notification to engage 187 Trade Apprentices across seven trades for apprenticeship training. BHEL is a Maharatna PSU and one of India's largest engineering and manufacturing companies, so training here adds strong value to your ITI qualification.

This is a training engagement under the Apprentices Act, 1961, not a permanent job. During the training, you get hands-on experience on real machines and production work, plus a monthly stipend. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed 10th (High School) and an ITI in the relevant trade from an NCVT-recognised institute (SCVT is accepted for Welder and Electrician trades) in the year 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026.
• Minimum marks: You need at least 60% marks in ITI (55% for SC/ST candidates).
• Not eligible if: you have already completed apprenticeship training after ITI, have one year or more of job experience, or are currently pursuing any regular course.

Age Limit

• Minimum age is 18 years.
• Maximum age is 27 years for General candidates.
• Age Relaxation: Up to 30 years for OBC, 32 years for SC/ST, and an extra 10 years for PwBD candidates.

Salary

• You will get a monthly stipend during the training period as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and applicable apprenticeship rules.

Selection Process

There is no written exam. Selection is merit-based:

1. Merit List: A weighted average is used — 70% weightage to your ITI marks and 30% weightage to your High School marks.
2. Tie-breaker: If two candidates have the same weighted average, the one with the higher ITI percentage is preferred. If still tied, the older candidate is preferred.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must send self-attested documents by post before the deadline.

3. Fill in the online application form and submit it before 15 July 2026.
4. Take a printout of the acknowledgement slip.
