Anna University (AU) is hiring project staff for its Institute for Ocean Management at the College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai. Posts and Disciplines

• Programme Officer: This role centres on planning the programme and coordinating its environmental awareness work, including Mission LiFE activities.

Post-wise Duties

Programme Officer

You will plan and carry out Mission LiFE activities, organise outreach around environmental days and coordinate with government and other organisations. The work also includes arranging capacity-building and green-skills courses and preparing monthly, quarterly and annual programme reports.

Information Officer

You will collect thematic environmental data from reliable sources and manage information on the EIACP portal. You will also help conduct outreach activities and coordinate the programme’s capacity-building and green-skills courses.

IT/GIS Officer

You will keep the web portal and databases updated, prepare thematic maps and create mobile or web applications and infographics. The role also includes IT support for major and regional events connected with the programme.

Data Entry Operator

You will enter information on the web portal and update the programme’s social media channels. You will also prepare posters, videos and presentations for environmental days and Mission LiFE activities.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial engagement: The appointment begins with a six-month term. An extension depends on the project’s duration and your performance.
• Accuracy of information: The application includes a declaration that the details you provide are correct. The institute can cancel your selection if it finds a discrepancy at any stage.
