Dr N.T.R. College of Food Science & Technology, Bapatla is a constituent college of Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), the state agricultural university of Andhra Pradesh, and specialises in food processing and food technology education. The college is filling one purely temporary teaching post in its Department of Food Processing Technology for 11 months, or until a regular post is filled, whichever comes first. The university will fill this post as Teaching Associate if a suitably qualified candidate is available, and as Teaching Assistant otherwise — so both experienced Ph.D./Master's degree holders and fresher B.Tech candidates should attend. There is no written exam; selection is entirely through a walk-in interview and a short teaching demonstration, which makes this a fast route into an academic career for food technology graduates.

Who Can Apply?

For Teaching Associate (Rs. 61,000 - Rs. 67,000/month):

• Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant subject, OR a Master's degree in Food Technology / Food Science and Technology / Food Processing Technology / Food Technology and Management with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade, OR a 4 or 5-year B.Tech (Food Technology) with First Division or equivalent overall grade point average.
• Experience: At least 3 years of teaching or research experience, evidenced through a Fellowship, Associateship, Training programme, or similar engagement.
• Research Publication: You must have published at least one research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI) or NAAS-rated (above 4.0) journal.

For Teaching Assistant (Rs. 37,000/month, if no eligible Teaching Associate candidate is available):

• Qualification: Master's degree in Food Technology / Food Science and Technology / Food Technology and Management with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade, OR a 4 or 5-year B.Tech (Food Technology) with First Division or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 2 years of teaching or research experience.

Note: If you meet the higher Teaching Associate criteria, you will be considered for that grade first at the same interview — you do not need to attend separately for each grade.

Age Limit

• Teaching Associate: Men should not exceed 40 years and women should not exceed 45 years.
• Teaching Assistant: Men should not exceed 35 years and women should not exceed 40 years.

Salary

• Teaching Associate: Rs. 61,000 per month for Master's degree holders, or Rs. 67,000 per month for Ph.D. holders, plus HRA.
• Teaching Assistant: Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA.
• HRA is paid as per existing state government rates applicable at your place of posting.
• No TA/DA is given for attending the interview, and this contractual role carries no claim to a regular appointment.
• The engagement can be terminated at any time without prior notice, and if you wish to leave the job, you need to give one month's notice or pay one month's salary in lieu.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

ANGRAU will select the Teaching Associate/Assistant directly through a walk-in interview and demo class:

1. Certificate Verification: Held at 9:00 AM on the interview day — bring your original certificates along with one duplicate photocopy set.
2. Walk-in Interview: The selection committee reviews your qualifications, publications, and teaching/research experience.
3. Chalk Talk: You need to present a topic of your choice for 2-3 minutes on the blackboard, so it helps to prepare a short, well-structured talk in advance.
4. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must undergo a medical fitness check at their own expense before joining.

The decision of the selection committee is final and binding in all respects, and the Associate Dean reserves the right to cancel or postpone the interview if required.
