All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh is hiring project staff for the National Survey on Extent and Pattern of Substance Use in India (NDUS 2025). Post-wise Duties

Project Research Scientist-II

Project Technical Support-III

You will support the research scientist, coordinate capacity-building activities and help manage data collection. The role also involves field monitoring, meetings and progress reports, linking the regional investigators with survey teams and implementation agencies.

Project Technical Support-I

You will help manage project expenditure records and administrative data. You will also support communication with NDDTC and the data-collection agency, alongside clerical and logistical work connected with the survey.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: The initial engagement lasts six months. Any extension depends on performance, project needs and available funds.
• Appointment status: These are project contracts and do not make you a regular employee of either AIIMS institute or the commissioning ministry. They carry no right to permanent absorption or continued contractual work.
• Position changes: The investigators may recruit at a lower research-scientist level or use a non-medical appointment in place of a medical one. The final engagement follows the approved project sanction.
• Work commitment: This is full-time project work. Private practice and other outside engagements are prohibited, and institute conduct rules apply.
• Performance and attendance: The investigators will review your work periodically. Unsatisfactory performance or unauthorised absence for three or more working days can end the contract immediately.
• Leave and accommodation: Leave follows the institute's project-staff policy. The institute and project officer will not provide hostel or other accommodation.
• Contract expiry: An engagement ends when its approved term expires unless it is extended within that term. The notice rules out retrospective extensions.
