AIIMS Nagpur Project Nurse III Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur is hiring a Project Nurse III in its Department of Physiology for an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded study. The study examines the use of Forced Oscillation Technique (FOT) as a non-invasive way to detect small-airway dysfunction early in people with sickle cell disease. You will join a project appointment at AIIMS Nagpur.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project and initial contract: The notice describes an 18-month project engagement, but your initial contract runs for 12 months from joining. Any extension depends on your performance, the project’s needs and approval from the Executive Director or principal investigator.
• No regular appointment claim: This project engagement does not give you a right to a regular job at AIIMS Nagpur, ICMR or another government department. It also creates no right to transfer to another project or to receive a later assignment.
• Project completion: Your tenure ends automatically when the project duration is complete. If the project or programme is not extended, the notice allows the contract to end without further notice.
• Performance and termination: Unsatisfactory work may lead to termination with one month’s notice. The principal investigator also retains the right to end the contract with a one-month notice period.
• Leaving the appointment: You must give one month’s notice before leaving. If you do not, the notice says you may be liable to pay one month’s salary.
• Project interruption: If unforeseen circumstances stall or postpone the project, salary payments may be delayed or stopped during that period. Consider this condition when deciding whether the project arrangement suits you.
• Leave and undertaking: Leave follows the project recruitment rules. You will need to give an undertaking before joining.
• Travel arrangements: The institute will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview or discussion. You must arrange your own transport and accommodation.
• Shortlist validity: The shortlist remains valid for six months from publication of the result and may be renewed. Being shortlisted does not itself guarantee appointment.
• Institute decisions: The appointing authority may accept or reject applications without providing individual reasons. False information or attempts to influence the recruitment can disqualify you.
