The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), the research wing of Tata Memorial Centre at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, is hiring a Project Technical Support-II through a walk-in interview (Advt. No. ACTREC/Advt-190/2026). ACTREC is a grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India.

The post sits in a research project on bone marrow transplant (BMT) care titled "Mitigation of Early Transplant Related Toxicities through Indigenous and Novel Strategies". The project runs under the plan to set up a Centre for Advanced Research in bone marrow transplant (BMT/HCT), so your lab work will feed directly into studies aimed at making transplants safer for cancer patients.

This is a project-based, contractual role, not a permanent job. It suits a science graduate or MLT-trained lab worker who already has hands-on laboratory experience and wants to work inside one of India's best-known cancer research centres.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Two routes to qualify: You can apply either with Class 12 Science plus an MLT (or equivalent) and five years of experience, or with a B.Sc. degree and two years of experience. One of these two routes is mandatory.
• Lab skills that help: Work in a chemistry laboratory — buffer and reagent preparation, quality control checks, HPLC and gel electrophoresis — is listed as desirable. It is not compulsory, but it can give you an edge at the interview.
• Tenure: The engagement is for one year and is tied to the project.
• Pay structure: The pay is a consolidated amount that already includes 30% HRA, so do not expect separate allowances on top.
• Age is checked on the interview day: The upper age limit is counted at the time of the interview, not on the advertisement date.
• Place of work: ACTREC campus, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.
