ACTREC (Tata Memorial Centre) is offering an Advanced Training Course for Technologists in Flow Cytometry at its Kharghar, Navi Mumbai campus. If you have an M.Sc. or M.Tech in Microbiology, Zoology or Biotechnology, you can walk in for the interview. The walk-in interview is on 27 August 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), a Grant-in-Aid Institute of the Department of Atomic Energy and part of the Tata Memorial Centre, has announced a walk-in interview for its Advanced Training Course for Technologists in Flow Cytometry (Advt No. ACTREC/Advt/170/2026). The one-year programme combines 6 months of hands-on training with 6 months of mandatory internship, covering complete sample processing, flow cytometry instrument handling (setup to quality control), experiment designing and data analysis. Only 1 seat is available, making this a highly focused, specialised opportunity for life-science graduates who want to build a career in clinical flow cytometry at a premier cancer research institute.

During the course, you will be assigned to one of the laboratory's subsections based on requirement, and in-house examinations will be held periodically to track your progress. On successful completion, ACTREC awards a certificate in the specialty area you trained in, which is valuable for a career in clinical or research flow cytometry laboratories.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: M.Sc. / M.Tech in Microbiology, Zoology or Biotechnology, or an equivalent degree.
• You need to upload a CGPA-to-percentage conversion certificate along with your qualification certificate, if applicable.

Age Limit

• You should be up to 35 years old as on the last date of the online application.
• Age Relaxation: Available for sponsored candidates and SC/ST & OBC candidates as per rules.

Salary

• M.Sc. candidates get a stipend of Rs. 10,000 per month during the 6-month training period.
• After completing training, you move into a mandatory 6-month internship at Tata Memorial Centre-ACTREC starting 1 February 2027, with a consolidated payment of Rs. 15,000 per month for M.Sc. candidates.
• You must deposit a security deposit of Rs. 5,000 at the time of joining. This is refundable, without interest, once you complete the training and internship.

Application Fee

• Course Fee (all candidates): Rs. 12,000 + 18% GST

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Walk-in Interview: Report to the venue with photocopies of your qualification documents on the interview date.
2. Written Examination (if applicable): If more than 30 candidates apply, a written exam will be conducted first, and only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
3. Final Selection: Based on your performance in the interview.

If you currently work under Central/State Government, an Autonomous Body, or a Public Sector Undertaking, you must bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your employer. ACTREC reserves the right to restrict the number of interview candidates based on your qualification and marks — meeting the minimum eligibility does not automatically guarantee you an interview call.

During your training and internship, you cannot apply for other jobs, courses, PG studies, scholarships, or appear for outside exams/interviews without the Centre's written permission. If you leave before completing the training or internship, you will need to refund the stipend and remuneration received, along with interest, as per the Centre's rules.

How to Apply

2. Report directly for the walk-in interview at ACTREC, CCE Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.
3. Reach the venue between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM on the interview date.
4. Carry a valid photo ID and, if applicable, an NOC from your current employer.
