Young India Skills University (YISU) is hiring a Bio Laboratory Assistant for its Hyderabad campus. The university was set up under a Telangana law in 2024 and uses a public-private partnership approach to connect academic learning with the skills used in industry. In this position, you will keep the biological sciences laboratory ready for practical classes and provide the operational support that faculty, demonstrators and students need during hands-on sessions.

This is a one-year contractual engagement for someone with solid laboratory experience and dependable working habits. The work is practical and detailed: equipment, glassware, solutions, samples and records all need to be in place before a class begins and restored properly afterwards. Experience from a college, university, research centre, diagnostic facility, biotechnology or life-science company, training institute or a similar laboratory can support your application.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The initial contract lasts one year. Further engagement may be considered after a performance review and only when the university still needs the position.
• Appointment status: The role remains contractual and does not give you a right to a regular YISU appointment.
• Workplace: You will work at YISU, Hyderabad, in the facilities supporting its applied life-sciences programme and related practical activities.
• Team arrangement: The assistant works closely with faculty members and demonstrators. Reliability, punctuality and the ability to follow approved protocols are important because each practical session depends on timely preparation.
• Laboratory control: You will be expected to protect instruments, identify shortages, report unsafe or damaged items and keep stock and usage records current. Safety, biosafety, chemical handling and waste segregation form part of the everyday work.
