About This Job
Apply for UCO Bank Concurrent Auditor engagement. Retired Scale II-VI officers eligible. Audit fee: Rs 17,000-32,000. Last date: 15 Sep 2026.
UCO Bank Concurrent Auditor Recruitment 2026: Overview
UCO Bank, through its Audit & Inspection Department at Head Office, Kolkata, is engaging its own retired officers and executives as Concurrent Auditors for identified small and large branches across India. The assignment is designed for former bankers who can examine branch activity in a computerised audit environment and understand how credit decisions, operational controls and risk signals appear in day-to-day banking records.
The work follows the Bank's audit package and the Reserve Bank of India directions on concurrent audit. Auditors use the eTHIC package and need to work independently with Finacle while applying an investigative and analytical approach. This is an external contractual engagement for retired UCO Bank staff, not re-employment in the Bank's regular service.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Internal experience: the engagement is limited to retired UCO Bank officers in the notified scales who have an unblemished service record and substantial continuous service with the Bank.
- Cooling rule: you cannot continue concurrent audit without a break after the permitted consecutive cycle. Existing auditors may seek a different listed branch when their present branch is outside the new audit list.
- Credit exposure: practical work in branch credit, an administrative credit department or as a branch head is important. Inspection Department experience receives preference.
- Technology readiness: you must handle computers, Finacle and the eTHIC audit environment without regular assistance.
- Conflict control: you should not have served recently at a branch for which you apply, and you cannot be related to a serving director of the Bank.
- Audit coverage: the assignment includes concurrent checks and test-checking the compliance reported after Risk Based Internal Audit.
- Reporting discipline: each monthly audit report must reach the Bank within its prescribed monthly reporting window and follow the online module and format.
- Travel readiness: branch-related stock or security inspections may require travel, so you should be ready to visit places connected with the assigned branch.
- Contract term: the first engagement runs for one audit year. Renewal depends on an annual performance review and remains subject to the Bank's maximum consecutive-engagement rule.
- Early exit: leaving during the audit period needs advance notice under the contract; otherwise the Bank may adjust the amount specified in the engagement terms.
Application Submission Notes
Apply only through the UCO Bank Concurrent Auditor portal; the Bank does not want a postal or email copy of the form. You can give preferences for five branches from the notified ex-staff list. Save the application ID and password as soon as the portal displays them because the submitted form cannot be modified after final submission.
Serving auditors seeking renewal generally do not need a fresh form unless their present branch appears in the excluded-branch annexure. For portal problems, the notice gives hodit.conaudit@uco.bank.in as the support email and asks you to include your mobile number with the query.
