TISS Nurse Recruitment 2026: Overview
Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is hiring Nurses on contract for its Health Centre in Mumbai. The institute is a deemed university supported through a grant from the Ministry of Education, Government of India. This opening is for the campus health service, with shift work and an initial fixed contract.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Contract period: You will start with a one-year appointment. An extension depends on your work performance and whether the institute continues to need the service.
- Working hours: The notice sets shifts of 8 to 10 hours. Consider this working arrangement when deciding whether the campus Health Centre role fits your availability.

Responsibilities
- Check patients' vital signs.
- Give injections, medicines and intravenous fluids.
- Dress wounds.
- Sterilise medical instruments.
- Maintain the stock of medicines.
- Handle health-centre waste management.
- Keep the Health Centre in good working condition.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (ANM) or General Nursing Midwifery (GNM).
Age Limit
Up to 65 years (as on 30 Sep 2026)
Age Relaxation:
- Exceptional cases or applicants holding analogous positions: The institute may relax qualification, experience or age requirements at its discretion.
