Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is recruiting a Medical Officer (Night Duty/Holiday Duty) on contract for its Health Centre in Mumbai. TISS is a deemed university and a grant-in-aid institute under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. This engagement is specifically for night duty and holiday duty at the institute's Health Centre.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Duty arrangement: You will work 12-hour night or holiday shifts, with duty scheduled 4 to 5 times each week. Consider both the length of each shift and the weekly frequency when deciding whether this Health Centre arrangement fits you.
• Contract period: The appointment runs for no more than one year or until the post is filled, whichever comes first. An extension depends on satisfactory performance and the institute's requirement, so you should not treat renewal as automatic.
• Reservation: The advertised post is unreserved. You can still apply if you belong to a reserved category, as the notice expressly allows applications from those categories.
• Travel costs: TISS will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the interview. You will need to make your own arrangements for attending in Mumbai.
• Joining: If selected, you must be ready to join within 15 days of selection. Keep this joining requirement in mind if you need to arrange release from your present employment.
