About This Job

Apply for 13 advisory support posts in SHS Maharashtra. Retired government officers eligible. Walk-in: 17 Sep 2026 at Mumbai.

SHS Maharashtra Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

State Health Society, Maharashtra (SHS Maharashtra), under the National Health Mission and Public Health Department, is building a panel of retired officers for specialised advisory and coordination assignments. The work covers AYUSH programmes, primary-health administration, land and revenue coordination, and administration with accounts. This drive is meant for experienced public-service professionals who can bring long institutional knowledge into time-bound health-system work.

The assignments are based mainly at SHS offices in Mumbai, with selected work also connected to Pune. These are not replacements for sanctioned regular posts; they are fixed-purpose engagements with defined terms of reference, reporting arrangements and deliverables. Your fit depends on the match between your former rank, department experience and the assignment you choose.

Posts and Disciplines

  • AYUSH Programme Support: advises on AYUSH administration, programme implementation and system strengthening at state or central level.
  • Primary Health System Reform: supports policy, planning, establishment, human resources and administrative restructuring for primary-health services.
  • Land, Estate and Revenue Advisory: handles senior coordination around government land, acquisition, transfer and connected revenue matters.
  • Land Records and Tahsil Coordination: works through land records, revenue cases, transfers and problems that need district or tahsil-level follow-up.
  • Administration and Accounts Advisory: guides establishment, finance and budget processes using experience from government or Mantralaya departments.
  • Administrative and Accounts Support: assists with departmental administration and finance-related work, with preference for officers who have worked in finance.

Post-wise Duties

AYUSH and Primary Health Assignments

You will review ongoing schemes, advise programme teams and turn your public-sector experience into practical recommendations for health administration. The work may include policy interpretation, implementation review, planning support and coordination with senior officers.

Land, Estate and Tahsil Assignments

You will help resolve files involving land records, acquisition, transfers and revenue coordination. You may need to connect SHS teams with district, tahsil and revenue authorities while keeping the assignment moving within its timeline.

Administration and Accounts Assignments

You will advise on establishment work, office processes, finance coordination and budget-related administration. The exact scope, deliverables and reporting officer will be set separately for the person appointed to each assignment.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Panel engagement: Selection or inclusion in a panel does not create an automatic right to appointment.
  • Contract ceiling: An engagement may start for up to one year and be renewed annually when the work continues and performance is satisfactory; the overall contract period cannot exceed three years.
  • No regular status: The assignment gives no claim to regularisation, absorption, permanency or other rights of regular government service.
  • Limited authority: The appointed person will not receive independent administrative or financial powers.
  • Confidentiality: Government records, information and data handled during the work must remain confidential.
  • Conflict disclosure: Any conflict of interest must be declared before appointment, and a bond or undertaking may be required.
  • Performance review: The reporting authority may periodically review your work against the assigned terms, deliverables and timeline.
  • Travel cost: No TA, DA or other allowance is payable for attending the walk-in interview.

Application Submission Notes

Bring the prescribed application and supporting papers to the State Health Society, Maharashtra, Arogya Bhavan, 8th floor, near CSMT railway station, St. George's Hospital compound, Mumbai 400001.
