SDO Trimbakeshwar Kotwal Recruitment 2026: Overview
The Office of the Assistant Collector and Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Igatpuri–Trimbakeshwar, Nashik is recruiting Revenue Servants, also called Kotwals, for local revenue areas in Trimbakeshwar taluka. The notice covers Sapgaon, Samundi and Shirasgaon (H.) under Maharashtra’s Revenue and Forest Department. These are temporary, unclassified posts connected with local field work, and each revenue area has its own recruitment process.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Local recruitment: Your permanent residence must fall within the villages attached to the revenue area, or saja, for which you apply. You can apply for only the area where you are a local resident. Living elsewhere in Nashik district does not meet this condition by itself.
- Separate revenue areas: Sapgaon, Samundi and Shirasgaon (H.) are separate recruitment units. The notice treats their recruitment processes independently, so you should check the village list for your own area before choosing it in the form.
- Women’s reservation: The Sapgaon position carries an open-category women’s reservation. You must claim the applicable reservation in your application; Maharashtra domicile is needed for the women’s reservation benefit.
- Other reservation conditions: The notice does not apply disability reservation or parallel reservations such as those for project-affected persons, ex-servicemen and sportspersons to these isolated posts. Check the category shown against your revenue area rather than assuming a quota applies.
- Equal-merit preference: Where other conditions are equal, heirs of a previous Kotwal from the same revenue area receive the preference described in the notice. Other ties follow the government criteria cited by the recruiting office.
- Recruitment expenses: You must meet your own travel and other attendance expenses. The office will not reimburse these costs, so factor travel to the announced venue into your plans.
- Changes to the drive: The selection committee can pause, cancel or change the recruitment and revise the advertised posts or reservations. Government orders issued during the process can also change the applicable conditions.
- Accuracy of your form: The notice says that information entered in the online application cannot be changed. Incorrect claims, concealed information or attempts to influence the committee can lead to rejection, cancellation of an appointment and legal action.
- Official updates: Recruitment notices and related communications will appear on the prescribed portal. You are responsible for checking it regularly; the office will not send every update by post or separately contact rejected applicants.
- Appointment conditions: The Maharashtra government’s rules for Kotwal appointments and service apply to the engagement. Completing an application does not give you a right to appointment. The recruiting authority retains the power to reject a claim that does not satisfy the notice.
