Panjab University, Chandigarh is holding a walk-in interview on 5 October 2026 at 11:00 AM for two Project Assistants (Life Sciences/Public Health) under the Liver-Safe Chandigarh Initiative of the Chandigarh Administration. Posts and Disciplines

• Project Assistant (Life Sciences/Public Health): 2 positions.
• Work: you coordinate screening and risk assessment of college students, collect and maintain clinical and lifestyle data, help with data checks and database management, coordinate with clinicians, college health centres and field teams, and support outreach on diet, physical activity and liver health.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Duration: 6 months, or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier.
• Emoluments: Rs. 15,000 per month, consolidated and all inclusive.
• Temporary: the posts are purely on a temporary basis and co-terminus with the term of the project.
• No TA/DA is paid for the interview.
• Canvassing in any form disqualifies a candidate.
• Ineligible candidates are not interviewed, so check your eligibility before you travel.

Incomplete forms, or forms not in the given format, can be rejected, and no change is allowed after the form is submitted.

• Coordinate screening and risk assessment of college students for risk factors of steatotic liver disease.
• Collect and maintain clinical and lifestyle data, including anthropometric, demographic, dietary and physical activity information.
• Assist in data pre-processing, quality checks, coding and database management.
• Coordinate with clinicians, college health centres, students, field teams and investigators.
• Support student and community outreach and awareness programmes.
• Assist in data analysis and in preparing project reports, presentations and research documentation.
