Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College of Agriculture and Research Institute (PAJANCOA&RI), Karaikal, is engaging Consultants in the Superintendent grade for its administration. The Government of Puducherry sponsors the institute, which is affiliated to Pondicherry University. This is a contract consultancy supporting establishment, accounts and related administrative work at the college.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The engagement starts with six months. Further extensions can be made in six-month periods after a review of your performance, so continuation depends on that assessment.
• Full-time commitment: The agreement specifies full-time consultancy. You cannot take up another assignment while working under this engagement.
• Prescribed agreement: If selected, you must sign the agreement enclosed with the notice. It sets out the working arrangement between the consultant and the employer.
• Temporary appointment: The college describes the engagement as temporary and tied to specific work. The employer can cancel it at any time without giving a reason.
• Earlier end: The agreement also allows the engagement to end when the need for the consultancy ceases. Keep this condition in mind alongside the initial contract period.
• Leave: The terms allow 12 days of leave in a calendar year, calculated proportionately for your period of engagement.
• Declaration: The application includes a declaration that you were clear from the vigilance angle when you retired. Your signature also confirms that the particulars you provide are correct.
