NSSB CSRE LDA and ASI Recruitment 2026: Overview
Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) is conducting the Combined Staff Recruitment Examination (CSRE) 2026 for regular Group C posts in the Government of Nagaland. The drive brings together clerical roles in several departments and a uniformed role in the Nagaland Lokayukta. It also includes backlog posts from the previous CSRE cycle, with department and reservation details that you should consider before expressing your preferences.
Posts and Disciplines
- LDA-cum-Computer Assistant, Directorate: These clerical posts are in Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Nagaland State Lotteries, Sericulture and the State Institute of Rural Development.
- LDA-cum-Computer Assistant, District: These posts support Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, and Tourism. The Agriculture entry is carried forward from CSRE 2025.
- Assistant Sub-Inspector: This uniformed-service role is in the Nagaland Lokayukta. Its advertised entries are also CSRE 2025 backlog posts.
Post-wise Duties
LDA-cum-Computer Assistant
In this clerical role, you would support office records, correspondence and computer-based work in the department allotted to you. Directorate and district entries belong to the same broad clerical stream, while their office setting and departmental work differ.
Assistant Sub-Inspector
As an Assistant Sub-Inspector, you would support uniformed duties and official case-related work in the Nagaland Lokayukta. The notice identifies this as the uniformed stream within the combined recruitment, so its service requirements differ from the clerical posts.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- State reservation: All advertised vacancies are reserved for Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland. Backward Tribe and disability reservations apply to the particular entries identified in the notice.
- Post preferences: You will get an opportunity to state your preferred posts and departments before the interview. Check the department attached to each entry when deciding your choices.
- Exam districts: You can choose two districts for the written examination. If your first-choice district has fewer than 500 applicants, NSSB may move you to your second choice.
- Centre capacity: Your chosen districts are subject to capacity. Where necessary, the Board may assign a different exam district even after considering both preferences.
- Accuracy of claims: Incorrect information, hidden facts or failure to meet the notified conditions can cancel your candidature at any recruitment stage.
- Board decisions: NSSB retains the final decision on recruitment matters and will not entertain correspondence challenging those decisions. It will not accept departmental requests to relax educational conditions after registration closes.
Application Submission Notes
One Time Registration (OTR) is compulsory before you register your application through the Board website; existing users can use their registration. NSSB does not issue paper application forms from its office. For assistance, contact 9366495971 or helpdesk@nssbrecruitment.in during helpdesk hours, 10:00 to 15:00.
