NIT AP Clinical Psychologist Recruitment 2026: Overview
National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh (NIT AP) is forming a panel of Consultant Clinical Psychologists for student support at its Tadepalligudem campus. The engagement sits within the institute’s student-welfare work and connects counselling with campus wellness activities. You would work with the Dean (Students Welfare) Office through a temporary contractual arrangement.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Initial engagement: The panel appointment runs for 12 months. Further extensions can be made for 12 months at a time, depending on your performance and the competent authority’s decision. An extension is discretionary.
- Ending the contract: Either party can end the engagement with one month’s notice. The detailed terms also refer to at least 30 days’ notice for early termination, subject to the exceptions stated in the notice.
- Campus schedule: The preferred working days are Saturdays and Sundays, from 9 am to 5.30 pm. During contingencies, you may also need to consult by phone on other working days.
- Professional boundaries: Keep your relationship with students professional and protect the privacy of their consultations. Information gathered in counselling must be used only to help the student.
- Travel: The institute does not reimburse travel or daily expenses for attending the interaction.
- Accommodation: Paid guest-house or single-room hostel accommodation may be available for a short stay of up to 03 days. Availability and the institute’s accommodation rules apply.
- Institute discretion: NIT AP may use the same or other suitable expertise for similar work when a need arises. The Director’s decision on the engagement is final.
