NIMSR Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (NIMSR), a society under the Government of Nagaland, is recruiting teaching faculty and resident cadres for its campus in Kohima. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Professor tenure: the appointment is for one year. The same notice also sets a faculty service bond, so you should read both conditions before accepting an offer.
• Faculty bond: joining faculty must commit to serving NIMSR for at least two years from joining. The notice does not explain how this condition interacts with the shorter Professor contract.
• Private practice: faculty cannot carry out private practice while serving at NIMSR.
• Local preference: Naga indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland who meet the requirements receive preference.
• Residency: Senior Resident appointments ordinarily run for no more than three years.
• Professional registration: after joining, selected medical candidates must register with the Nagaland Medical Council within three months. Missing this requirement can lead to cancellation.
• Attendance: faculty must follow the National Medical Commission requirements for academic activities and biometric attendance. The institute keeps the related regulatory records.
• Institute discretion: NIMSR may change, withdraw or leave advertised positions unfilled. Applying does not guarantee an interview or an appointment.
• Reserve panel: the institute will maintain a waiting panel valid for six months. Being on that panel does not itself confirm a posting.
