Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), a subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited, is hiring engineers on fixed-term contracts for its Marketing Department. The recruitment supports its expanding marketing network under the HiQ and MANGPOL brands, with work across retail sites and fuel terminals. Your assignment will depend on MRPL's operational needs.

Posts and Disciplines

• Retail Construction Engineer: construction-related work for the retail network, including coordination at project sites.
• Retail Engineer: dealer coordination and retail outlet operations. The retail roles list Kozhikode, Hubballi, Devangonthi, Coimbatore, Chennai and Guntur as locations.
• Terminal Operation Engineer: fuel terminal assignments at Kochi, Elathur, Hubballi, Kalaburgi, Mumbai-JNPA, Goa, Kasaragod or Kozhikode.

Post-wise Duties

Retail Construction Engineer

You will supervise construction, follow up on progress and prepare drawings and material take-offs. The role also includes checking bill quantities, working with dealers and contractors, and contributing to application scrutiny, land evaluation and field verification committees.

Retail Engineer

You will follow up with dealers and check quality control and retail outlet inspection reports. Your work includes inspections, product indent approvals and participation in the committees named in the notice. Travel between locations forms part of the role.

Terminal Operation Engineer

You will handle terminal operations, certify product quantity and quality, and prepare and issue invoices. Coordination and travel to different locations are also part of the assignment.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract period: the initial engagement is for three years, with a possible two-year extension. The maximum tenure, including extensions, is five years.
• Working arrangements: MRPL decides the location according to its needs. You may work rotating shifts, including nights.
• Early termination: unsatisfactory performance or misconduct can end the contract early. The notice provides for one month's notice or one month's pay instead.
• Confidentiality and conduct: you must give an undertaking on secrecy and follow company safety rules, including using the required safety equipment.
• Outside employment: MRPL will not issue a no-objection certificate for another job during this engagement. A service certificate may be issued after satisfactory completion or resignation through the proper channel.
• Interview travel: reimbursement is limited to the stated train or bus fare entitlement on actual tickets by the shortest route. Local travel is at your expense; an attendant may qualify for reimbursement under the applicable disability guidelines.
• Recruitment changes: MRPL may change or cancel the engagement process and may leave notified positions unfilled.
