IOCL WR Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) is engaging Trade, Technician and Graduate Apprentices under its Marketing Division in the Western Region. The programme covers technical and non-technical training at locations in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu. This is apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, aimed at skill development.

Posts and Disciplines

• Technician Apprentice: The engineering disciplines are Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical and Electronics, and Electronics. These are separate discipline codes within the regional technician seat pools.
• Trade Apprentice, ITI: The trades are Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic and Machinist. Choose the trade that matches your training when reviewing the portal opportunities.
• Graduate Apprentice: This is the graduate stream within the same Western Region programme, separate from the engineering diploma and ITI streams.
• Trade Apprentice, Data Entry Operator: The notice provides separate routes for freshers and skill-certificate holders. Both sit within the data entry operator seat pools.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Training period: The apprenticeship runs for 12 months. Completing it does not give you a right to employment with IOCL, and the company has no obligation to offer a job afterwards.
• Regional allocation: Training locations must fall within the Western Region areas named in this notice. Choosing an opportunity outside those areas can result in rejection.
• Provisional seat allocation: IOCL may increase or reduce seats in the relevant categories. Reservation follows the applicable government directions at the time of engagement.
• Disability reservation: The notified disability reservation is horizontal across categories in the Graduate and Data Entry Operator streams. Check the discipline restrictions and recognised disability categories before choosing your opportunity.
• Previous training: A second apprenticeship must be in a different trade. Waiting periods depend on whether your earlier training was completed or why its contract ended; the detailed conditions remain relevant even if you already have a portal profile.
• No automatic engagement: Being on a panel does not itself create a right to an apprenticeship. IOCL may leave seats unfilled if suitable applicants are unavailable.
• Accuracy: Incorrect information or hidden material facts can lead to cancellation, including after engagement. IOCL may also take further action as stated in the notice.

Portal registration is a prerequisite: ITI and Data Entry Operator applicants use NAPS at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in, while Technician and Graduate applicants use NATS at the NATS student registration page. The Western Region establishment IDs are E01172700332 for NAPS and WMHMCC000053 for NATS.

You may apply against only one discipline code. Your portal profile must be complete, and corrections to it should be taken up with the relevant NAPS or NATS office.
