IIT Indore JRF Chemistry Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) is hiring a Junior Research Fellow for the Chemistry project, Small Molecule Inhibitors for Treatment of Tuberculosis. The work is based at the institute in Simrol, Indore, with funding from the Charak Center for Digital Healthcare, IIT Indore Drishti CPS Foundation. This is a project appointment combining computational drug discovery with laboratory research on inhibitors against mycobacterial infections.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: The appointment runs from October 2026 to September 2028. Treat this as a position attached to the named research project when planning your commitment to the institute.
• PhD opportunity: The selected fellow will be encouraged to register for the PhD programme at IIT Indore. Admission remains subject to institute norms, so selection for this project does not by itself confirm a PhD place.
• Fellowship extension: If you are selected for the PhD programme, the notice provides for extending the fellowship through the PhD duration under institute norms. This condition links the extension to PhD selection.
• Travel: The institute will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the interview. Keep this condition in mind when arranging your visit.

• Model molecules and run computational calculations with machine-learning-assisted drug discovery tools.
