GTU Director School of Pharmacy Recruitment 2026: Overview

Gujarat Technological University (GTU) is recruiting a Director for its School of Pharmacy through Advertisement 04/2026. This is a tenure-based leadership appointment at the university, which was established by the Government of Gujarat.

The Director works with the Vice-Chancellor on the school’s academic, research and administrative affairs. If you are considering the role, the key service condition is the fixed term and the requirement to return to your parent organisation when it ends.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The appointment runs for five years. Exceptional performance may lead to another five-year term; the extension is conditional.
• Return to parent organisation: At the end of your Director term, you must rejoin your parent organisation. Consider this requirement when planning any move from your current position.
• Information checks: GTU may check your background and submitted information at appointment or during service. False records or concealed adverse information can lead to termination.
• Appointment decisions: The university may decide to leave the post unfilled. It can also correct, withdraw or cancel a communication if an error in the recruitment process is found, including after appointment.
• Conduct: Canvassing by you or on your behalf can disqualify your application. Keep recruitment queries within the official communication channel.
