GNLU Incubation Manager Recruitment 2026: Overview

Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is hiring an Incubation Manager for the GNLU Legal Incubation Council (GLIC), a Section 8 company the university runs on its Gandhinagar campus. GLIC builds and supports start-ups in the legal and social entrepreneurship space, and it wants an entrepreneurially minded, energetic person who can hold together its programmes, partners and incubated ventures. This is a contractual engagement tied to GLIC, not a teaching post, so the work is closer to running an incubator than to university academics. If you have already worked with founders, accelerators or tinkering labs, the role puts you at the centre of that ecosystem.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: the appointment is contractual for 364 days to start with, and it may be extended by up to three more years based on an annual performance review, on the recommendation of the competent authority and with Executive Council approval.
• No permanent claim: the contract gives no right to renewal, extension or conversion into a permanent appointment, and it ends on the date written in the contract letter.
• Notice period: either side may end the contract with one month's notice or one month's pay in place of notice. The university may also end it without notice if the work is found unsatisfactory or if you break its rules.
• Place of work: you will be based at the GNLU Gandhinagar campus.
• Leave: you get one day of casual leave for each completed month of duty and no other leave during the contract.
• Serving candidates: if you already work in a government, semi-government, PSU or educational institution, apply through proper channel and carry a No Objection Certificate to the selection process, or you will not be allowed to take part.
• Verification: GNLU may check your antecedents and documents at any point. Fake or suppressed information means your application or service is terminated.
• Other conditions: no TA or DA is paid for attending the selection process, canvassing in any form leads to disqualification, and the university may choose not to fill the post at all.

Applications sent in any other format will not be entertained. Attach self-attested copies of your certificates and mark sheets from SSC onwards for every qualification you claim. GNLU will not take up any correspondence about an email that reaches late, so send it well before the closing time. The university informs shortlisted candidates about the detailed selection process by email after applications close.

• Reach out to innovative founders and onboard start-ups after collecting and checking their applications
• Guide incubated start-ups through mentoring, fundraising and investor meetings
• Keep records of start-ups, mentors, investors, donors and ecosystem partners
• Handle the day-to-day administration of the incubation centre
