District Rural Development Branch (DRDB), Latehar, under the Government of Jharkhand, is hiring an Accountant-cum-Computer Operator for block-level Programme Management Units under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin. This is a contractual engagement linked to the rural housing scheme. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The contract begins for three years, with a review of your work each year. Unsatisfactory progress can lead to consideration of removal, and the engagement ends if it is not renewed.
• Renewal: Further service depends on your performance, available funds and the duration of the scheme. The appointment committee also acts as the renewal committee.
• Leaving the role: You must give one month’s written notice through your controlling officer or pay one month’s salary in lieu of notice. The appointing authority can also end the engagement with equivalent notice or payment.
• Outside employment: You cannot work for another organisation or institution during the contract period. Consider this restriction before accepting the appointment.
• Reservation policy: Jharkhand’s reservation and local-policy rules apply. Latehar applicants from the specified backward-class groups may use the EWS route only under the state resolution and district-specific certification conditions stated in the notice.
• Panel validity: The final panel remains valid for up to one year. Vacancies arising during that period may be filled from it.
• Tied merit: Where final scores are equal, the older applicant gets preference. If age is also equal, locality is considered; if that still does not resolve the tie, selection is by lottery.
• Travel: You will not receive travel expenses for joining. Travel within the country for official duties follows the applicable state rules.
• Leave and agreement: Only the state-prescribed casual leave is available under these contract terms. Selected staff must sign the agreement prepared by the district.
• Changes to openings: The administration may revise the notified category-wise openings. Read any later district notice before relying on the original distribution.
