DLSA Mulugu Clerk and Peon Recruitment 2026: Overview

District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Mulugu is recruiting contractual support staff for its Legal Aid Defense Counsel System office. The office provides legal aid and representation in criminal matters under the modified scheme of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA). You would support this local legal-aid office through either case-related clerical work or everyday office assistance.

Posts and Disciplines

  • Office Assistant/Clerk: The clerical role supports the legal-aid case files, petitions and office records at Mulugu.
  • Office Peon (Munshi/Attendant): This role supports the same office through cleaning, visitor service and delivery of office mail.

Post-wise Duties

Office Assistant/Clerk

You will keep legal-aid case records current and upload case progress to the NALSA portal. Your work also includes organising indexed files, typing bail applications and petitions, and handling clerical requests for copies of court orders and judgments.

Office Peon (Munshi/Attendant)

You will help keep the office clean and ready before working hours. The role includes serving water or beverages to visitors and carrying office mail, alongside the general support work described in the notice.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Contract term: The engagement runs for 1 year initially. Yearly extensions depend on satisfactory performance.
  • Leave: You receive 12 days of leave per calendar year on a proportionate basis. Unused leave cannot be carried forward or converted into cash; absence beyond the allowed leave is unpaid.
  • Supervision: Staff work under monitoring by DLSA and the Telangana State Legal Services Authority and must carry out their duties in good faith.
  • Conduct: Service may end without prior notice for serious duty breaches, accepting money from legal-aid users or their contacts, misuse of position, political activity, or breaches of ethics.
  • Other termination grounds: The notice also covers criminal charges or conviction, inadequate professional standards, harm to the office’s functioning and absence without leave for more than two weeks.
  • Travel: You will not receive TA/DA for travel connected with this appointment process.
  • Recruitment discretion: The authority may cancel the notice at any stage without advance notice. Applying does not create a right to appointment, and unsuccessful applicants will not receive individual communication.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Office Assistant/Clerk: graduation from a recognized university with the specified office and computer skills. Office Peon (Munshi/Attendant): Class 7.

Required Skills

Office Assistant/Clerk only: basic word processing, computer operation, typing at 40 WPM, taking dictation, data entry, file maintenance and processing.

Age Limit

18 - 34 years (as on 01 Sep 2026)

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST/BC/EWS: 5 years
  • Persons with physical disabilities: 10 years
