CCS HAU Young Professional II Recruitment 2026: Overview

Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCS HAU) is hiring a Young Professional-II (YP-II) for its Department of Agricultural Meteorology at the College of Agriculture in Hisar. The contractual role belongs to the C(b) Agrimet-1-ICAR: AICRP on Agrometeorology scheme, with Dr. Chander Shekhar named as Principal Investigator. You will work within the department's project arrangement, under the Principal Investigator's administrative control.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Published document: The university-hosted notice is headed “Draft Notification”, and carries the department's signed instructions and application form. Keep this wording in mind when checking for any later notice from the department.
• Current tenure: The advertised appointment runs up to 31 March 2027. The wider engagement limit is three years through successive terms, or the duration of the post, whichever ends earlier; this does not promise an extension beyond the current term.
• Work and conduct: The university may end the appointment if your work or conduct is unsatisfactory, after giving you an opportunity to respond. Continued engagement therefore depends on meeting the university's expectations during the assignment.
• Funding condition: The role depends on release of funds by the funding agency. If funds are not released, the university can end the engagement, even before the expected end of the assignment.
• End of engagement: You are released when the project or appointment term finishes. The university and department do not take responsibility for placing you in another university role afterwards.
• Leaving early: If you choose to leave, you must give one month's notice or pay the university an amount equal to one month's salary instead. This condition applies to an early exit from the engagement.
• Employment status: The appointment does not make you a regular university employee. It does not carry the provident-fund coverage or other benefits available to regular staff.
• Full-time commitment: You cannot take other work or hold another appointment, whether paid or unpaid, while serving in this project. Your leave follows the university's guidelines and norms.
• Joining requirement: You must report within 15 days after the appointment order is issued. Otherwise, the university may cancel the appointment and offer it to another selected applicant.
• Changes to conditions: The university can amend the engagement rules with the Vice-Chancellor's approval. Read any later departmental communication alongside these conditions before joining.
• Interview expenses: You must meet your own travel and daily expenses for attending the interview; the university does not reimburse them.

Your application must reach the Professor and Head, Department of Agricultural Meteorology, CCS HAU, Hisar – 125004, using the prescribed Annexure-A format. The department states that late applications will not be accepted.

The interview venue is the office of the Director of Research, CCS HAU, Hisar, with reporting for the announced interview at 11:30 am. The department will not send a separate interview letter.
