APHC District Judge LDCE Recruitment 2026: Overview

High Court of Andhra Pradesh (APHC) is recruiting District Judges through a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) within the Andhra Pradesh State Judicial Service. This is a departmental route for serving Civil Judges (Senior Division), under the state's judicial service and cadre rules. If you are considering this route, use the LDCE notification and its appended forms, which belong to this particular recruitment.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Governing rules: The Andhra Pradesh State Judicial (Service and Cadre) Rules, 2026 apply to this recruitment. The High Court decides recruitment matters that the rules do not expressly cover.
  • Changes to the drive: The High Court can increase or reduce the advertised posts or cancel the notification at any stage. Publication of the notice does not by itself give an applicant a right to appointment.
  • Reservation: Vertical reservation for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes follows the judicial service rules and the state rules cited in the notification. Check that your reservation claim matches the applicable classification.
  • Recruitment decisions: The High Court's decision on admission to the recruitment assessments is final. Receiving information about the drive does not replace the court's decision on your individual candidature.
  • Travel expenses: You must bear your own travel and stay costs for recruitment attendance. The High Court will not pay travel or daily allowance for these proceedings.
  • Official updates: Keep checking the High Court's website until recruitment ends. The notice asks applicants to follow the stages and results there throughout the process.

Application Submission Notes

Use the application pro forma appended to notification 365/2026-RC and lodge your application with the office of your concerned Principal District Judge. This is the departmental receiving office named for this recruitment.

Late receipt leads to rejection: plan for the application to reach that office within the prescribed closing time. The appended hall-ticket form also provides for attestation by the concerned Unit Head or Principal District Judge.
