AIIMS Delhi AIRCARE Multi Post Recruitment 2026: Overview
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi is recruiting research staff for AIRCARE, the Air Pollution and Cancer Research Ecosystem. The project is based in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Dr BRAIRCH and receives funding from The BMS Foundation.
The work brings together environmental health and lung cancer risk research through the project’s Center for Advanced Research. These contractual roles connect data analysis, molecular laboratory work and technical support within the same research programme.
Posts and Disciplines
- Project Scientist-II, Data Science: This role focuses on connecting research datasets and developing analytical tools for AIRCARE. Its work spans environmental monitoring, exposure information, clinical records and biomarker data.
- Project Scientist-I, Molecular Oncology: This role supports the laboratory side of the study, including molecular assays and experiments involving exposure-related cellular responses.
- Project Technical Support-II: This role supports sample records, research data and project supplies. It combines practical sample support with record keeping for the research team.
Post-wise Duties
Project Scientist-II Data Science
You will help build and maintain the central AIRCARE data platform, bringing together different kinds of study information. Your analysis will use predictive modelling, clustering and machine learning to support the project’s risk-prediction work.
You will also turn analytical results into dashboards and visual outputs that the team can use for monitoring and decisions. Written analytical records and material for sharing findings form part of the role alongside model development.
Project Scientist-I Molecular Oncology
You will process and store research samples, keep their records and help track them through the laboratory. The experimental work includes molecular biology assays and exposure-related cellular experiments.
You will follow laboratory procedures and biosafety practices while keeping quality-control logs. The role also contributes laboratory findings and records to the project’s reports, linking day-to-day experimental work with the team’s research outputs.
Project Technical Support-II
You will help with sample handling, storage and documentation, as well as data entry and cleaning. Keeping project consumables and inventory records up to date is another part of the work.
Your support will extend to reports and research records prepared for the project team. These tasks support the scientists’ work by keeping the underlying sample and data records organised.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Contractual engagement: These appointments belong to the externally funded AIRCARE research project in Radiation Oncology.
- Supervision: You will work under the principal investigator and co-investigators. The notice assigns distinct outputs to each role within that shared supervision.
Responsibilities
- Link environmental, exposure, clinical and biomarker datasets for the Data Science role.
- Develop predictive models and dashboards for AIRCARE research analysis.
- Process samples and conduct molecular assays in the Molecular Oncology role.
- Keep sample tracking records, laboratory logs and quality-control records.
- Follow laboratory procedures and biosafety practices during experimental work.
- Handle data entry, data cleaning and consumables records in the Technical Support role.
