AIIMS Bhopal TERIIP Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhopal is recruiting a Project Research Scientist-I (Medical) and Project Technical Support-II staff for an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)-funded study. The project examines reference intervals in children and adolescents as part of TERIIP Phase II, a multi-centre observational cross-sectional study. You would join a contractual project team led by Prof. Vaishali Walke in the Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine, with AIIMS Bhopal named as the place of work.
Posts and Disciplines
- Project Research Scientist-I (Medical): This is the medical research position in the TERIIP team, linked to the department's clinical biochemistry and pathology work.
- Project Technical Support-II: These are the technical-support positions for the same project. The notice places both post types within a shared project arrangement rather than separate recruitment exercises.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Tenure: The initial appointment is for 11 months. An extension can run up to three years, depending on the project and the availability of funds; continued engagement is not automatic.
- Project appointment: You cannot use this contract to claim a regular post or permanent absorption at AIIMS Bhopal or ICMR. The Principal Investigator can extend or end the engagement under the project conditions.
- Ending the contract: It expires at the end of its stated term unless both sides renew it. Either side may end it with 30 days' notice or salary in place of that notice.
- Leave and accommodation: Leave follows the applicable ICMR policy for externally funded research projects. Neither the institute nor the Principal Investigator will provide hostel accommodation or other housing.
- Work arrangements: Although the stated base is AIIMS Bhopal, you may be assigned to rural or field sites when the project needs this. Private practice is prohibited.
- Attendance costs: You must meet your own travel costs for attending the test or interview; the institute will not pay TA/DA.
- Communication: Results will appear on the AIIMS Bhopal website without individual messages. Keep your contact details accurate, since a valid email address and mobile number are mandatory.
- Conduct: Canvassing or giving false information can lead to disqualification. The competent authority's decision is final, and disputes fall under the courts in Bhopal.
