Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), part of Tata Memorial Centre, is recruiting a Senior Resident in Transfusion Medicine at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. The centre is a grant-in-aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy. This is a tenured, non-permanent appointment, with placement also possible at other Tata Memorial Centre units according to departmental needs.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: the appointment runs until 31 July 2027. You should consider this fixed endpoint when comparing the role with another appointment or an existing service commitment.
• PG bond: this Senior Residency counts towards the postgraduate bond for the specified medical qualifications completed at government and municipal medical colleges in Maharashtra, under the government resolution cited in the notice.
• Security deposit: the centre collects a caution deposit at joining or through five equal deductions. It refunds the deposit without interest after completion of the residency, subject to the notice's service conditions.
• Resignation: after five months of service, you may give one month's notice and leave after completing six months in total while retaining eligibility for the deposit refund. Leaving without the required notice leads to forfeiture of the final month's salary.
• Rotation: placement can be at ACTREC in Kharghar, Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, or centres in Sangrur, Mullanpur, Varanasi, Visakhapatnam, Muzaffarpur and Guwahati. The department decides rotations when needed; you should not treat this as an assured single-campus posting.
• Accommodation: shared accommodation may be available, but it is not guaranteed. Hostel charges are deducted each month if you use that accommodation.
• Institutional discretion: Tata Memorial Centre may cancel the posts or set screening benchmarks and cut-offs. Meeting the basic requirements does not automatically secure a call for assessment.
• Communication: the centre uses the mobile number and email address entered in your form. Keep these current and check your spam folder so you do not miss a message about your application.
• Interview attendance: shortlisted applicants can attend in person or request a link for an online interview. Updates and shortlisted names will appear in the centre's examination and interview section.
• Application accuracy: incomplete or unsubmitted forms are rejected. Incorrect information can also lead to rejection, so check your entries before completing the online form.
