KU Resident Cook and Kitchen Helper Recruitment 2026

KU Resident Cook and Kitchen Helper Recruitment 2026: Overview

University of Kerala (KU) is recruiting for its Women's Hostel at Kariavattom Campus in Thiruvananthapuram. The notice brings together Resident Cook and Kitchen Helper roles for the same hostel, with different terms of engagement. The main practical point is that the Resident Cook must live at the hostel while working there.

Posts and Disciplines

• Resident Cook: This is a contract role at the campus hostel. The residential condition is attached specifically to this post, so you should consider whether living at the workplace suits your circumstances.
• Kitchen Helper: This role is offered on a daily-wage basis at the same women's hostel. The notice distinguishes this arrangement from the Resident Cook contract.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Residential arrangement: If you take up the Resident Cook post, you must stay in the hostel. Keep this condition in mind when deciding which role to apply for.
• Different engagement terms: Both roles serve the same hostel, but the contract and daily-wage arrangements should be considered separately.
• Receipt of applications: The hostel will not accept applications received after the stated closing time. Plan delivery around receipt at the hostel, rather than just the day you send your application.
