Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISER Bhopal) is hiring an Institute Post-Doctoral Fellow (IPDF) for its Department of Chemistry. This fixed-term fellowship in Bhopal brings together molecular magnetism and coordination chemistry as its research focus.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The initial fellowship is for one year. IISER Bhopal may offer a further year after reviewing your performance over the first year. An extension is conditional on that assessment.
• Degree still pending: If you join after thesis submission, you must provide your provisional or final PhD certificate within six months of appointment. If you miss that requirement, the appointment may be cancelled or the institute may decide the case with the authority processing your thesis.
• Leave and outpatient care: You receive leave and outpatient medical facilities under the provisions that apply to postgraduate students. The institute’s PG Manual governs these arrangements.
• Medical cover: You must maintain a medical insurance policy in your own name with at least Rs. 1 lakh cover throughout the fellowship. The institute does not reimburse medical expenses.
• Accommodation: Housing is not provided to fellows. Take this condition into account when considering your appointment at Bhopal.
• Incomplete applications: The institute will not process an incomplete application. It also will not entertain interim enquiries or correspondence about the recruitment.
