About This Job
Apply for Medical Officer, Specialist & Super Specialist posts at ZP Dharashiv. MBBS/BAMS eligible. Walk-in interviews till 31 Dec 2026.
Zilla Parishad Dharashiv is hiring doctors on a contract basis under the National Health Mission (NHM). You can apply for Super Specialist, Specialist, and Medical Officer (MBBS/BAMS) posts through a walk-in interview. The first walk-in is on 1 July 2026, and interviews then continue on the 15th of every month till 31 December 2026 for any posts that stay vacant. If you have an MBBS or BAMS degree, you can walk in with your documents — there is no written exam. These are contractual posts under the district public health system, and the drive is open to both fresh MBBS/BAMS graduates and experienced doctors who want to serve in Dharashiv district.
Zilla Parishad Dharashiv (ZP Dharashiv) Medical Officer Recruitment 2026
Zilla Parishad Dharashiv, through its District Health Department, is filling vacant doctor posts under the National Health Mission (NHM), the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM), and the 15th Finance Commission. These posts cover the District Hospital, Women's Hospital, Sub-District Hospitals, Rural Hospitals, Primary Health Centres, Urban Health Wellness Centres, and the Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Aapla Dawakhana across Dharashiv district in Maharashtra. Selection is by walk-in interview and counselling only — there is no written test. This is a good opening for MBBS and BAMS doctors, including fresh graduates, who want a government health job close to home without sitting a long competitive exam.
Posts You Can Apply For
This single advertisement covers two application tracks, so read both before you apply:
- Contractual Medical Officer (Ad-hoc): For MBBS or BAMS doctors, to be posted at Primary Health Centres in the district.
- Super Specialist: For doctors holding a recognised super-speciality qualification, at the district and sub-district hospitals.
- Specialist: For doctors holding a recognised postgraduate (MD/MS) qualification in the relevant speciality.
- Medical Officer (MBBS/BAMS): For Urban Health Wellness Centres and the Aapla Dawakhana under the 15th Finance Commission.
The exact number of vacancies is not fixed. Posts are filled as and when they fall vacant, which is why the walk-in interview is repeated every month.
Important: If you want to be considered for both the Contractual Medical Officer track and the Specialist/Super Specialist track, you must submit a separate application for each. One application cannot be used for both tracks. Vacancies come up at facilities ranging from the busy District Hospital and Women's Hospital down to small Primary Health Centres, so there is a role to match most experience levels.
Who Can Apply?
- Medical Officer: You must have an MBBS or BAMS degree from a recognised institution.
- Specialist: You need a postgraduate qualification (MD/MS) in the relevant speciality along with your MBBS.
- Super Specialist: You need a recognised super-speciality qualification in the relevant field.
Note: For the 15th Finance Commission Medical Officer posts at Urban Health Wellness Centres and the Aapla Dawakhana, MBBS degree holders are preferred. BAMS doctors are considered only when no MBBS candidate is available.
Application Fee
- Contractual Medical Officer (Primary Health Centres): No application fee. You can simply apply on plain paper.
- Super Specialist / Specialist / Medical Officer (second track): A fee applies. You must attach a Demand Draft (DD) of the prescribed amount from a nationalised bank along with your application.
The exact fee amount and the application format are given in the detailed advertisement attached to the notice.
Selection Process (No Written Exam)
There is no written test, and you do not have to wait weeks for a result. The whole process — application, checking of documents, and the interview — is completed on the same walk-in day in this order:
- Application Submission: Hand in your application between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Applications are not accepted after 1:00 PM.
- Document Scrutiny: Your certificates are checked between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
- Eligible / Ineligible List and Objections: The list is published and objections are heard between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
- Interview and Counselling: Eligible candidates are picked through interview and counselling. If MBBS doctors are not available for a post, BAMS doctors are considered.
