These positions are spread across multiple mandals and municipalities including Kadapa, Proddatur, Jammalamadugu, Pulivendula, Badvel, Mydukuru, Chapadu, Kamalapuram, and Vempalli. No written exam is required — selection is purely through merit marks and an oral interview. Vacancy Details

Total: 171 posts across various ICDS projects in YSR Kadapa district. The vacancies are spread across different categories including OC, BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, BC-E, SC, ST, EWS, and VH under the roster system.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed 10th Class (SSC) from a recognised board.
• Domicile: You must be a local resident of the ward or village where the Anganwadi Centre is located. Only candidates from the concerned habitation are eligible.
• Gender: Only women candidates can apply for these posts.
• Experience: Prior experience as an ECE (Early Childhood Education) worker is preferred but not mandatory.

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 35 years old as on 01 July 2026.
• Age limits are as per G.O. Ms. No. 18, dated 03.11.2008.
• Candidates who were earlier appointed as AWWs/AWHs and were subsequently removed are not eligible, even if they are within the age limit.

Salary (Honorarium)

• Anganwadi Worker (AWW): Approximately Rs. 11,500 per month (honorarium jointly funded by Central and State Government).
• Anganwadi Helper (AWH): Approximately Rs. 4,750 per month (honorarium jointly funded by Central and State Government).
• The honorarium is paid by the government as per the prevailing ICDS norms. These are not regular government salary scales.

Application Fee

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on merit marks out of 100. There is no written examination. The marking scheme is as follows:

1. 10th Class Passed: 50 marks
2. Pre-School Teacher Training / Creche / Pre-School Management Training conducted by a recognised board or university, or working as ECE worker: 5 marks
3. Widow: 5 marks; Widow with minor children: 5 additional marks (total 10 marks possible)
4. Orphan who has been an inmate of Bala Sadan / Government institutions / Government-recognised institutions: 10 marks
5. Differently Abled: 5 marks
6. Oral Interview: 20 marks

Total: 100 marks. Final merit list will be prepared based on the total score. If two candidates score equally, the one who scored higher in the 10th class will be ranked higher. Applications must be submitted with all supporting documents (originals and photocopies) to the concerned CDPO (Child Development Project Officer) office.

• Assist in immunisation drives, health check-ups, and referral services
• Organise community awareness programmes on health, nutrition, and hygiene
• Prepare monthly progress reports and submit to the CDPO office
• Coordinate with ASHA workers and ANMs for maternal and child health services
