Who Can Apply?
- Qualification: You must have passed 10th Class (SSC) from a recognised board.

Salary (Honorarium)
- Anganwadi Worker (AWW): Approximately Rs. 11,500 per month (honorarium jointly funded by Central and State Government).
- Anganwadi Helper (AWH): Approximately Rs. 4,750 per month (honorarium jointly funded by Central and State Government).
- The honorarium is paid by the government as per the prevailing ICDS norms. These are not regular government salary scales.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)
Selection is based on merit marks out of 100. There is no written examination. The marking scheme is as follows:
- 10th Class Passed: 50 marks
- Pre-School Teacher Training / Creche / Pre-School Management Training conducted by a recognised board or university, or working as ECE worker: 5 marks
- Widow: 5 marks; Widow with minor children: 5 additional marks (total 10 marks possible)
- Orphan who has been an inmate of Bala Sadan / Government institutions / Government-recognised institutions: 10 marks
- Differently Abled: 5 marks
- Oral Interview: 20 marks
Total: 100 marks. Final merit list will be prepared based on the total score. If two candidates score equally, the one who scored higher in the 10th class will be ranked higher. Applications must be submitted with all supporting documents (originals and photocopies) to the concerned CDPO (Child Development Project Officer) office.

Responsibilities
- Run the Anganwadi Centre and manage daily operations for children aged 0-6 years
- Provide supplementary nutrition to children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers
- Conduct pre-school non-formal education activities for children aged 3-6 years
- Maintain health and nutrition records of beneficiaries in the designated area
- Assist in immunisation drives, health check-ups, and referral services
- Organise community awareness programmes on health, nutrition, and hygiene
- Prepare monthly progress reports and submit to the CDPO office
- Coordinate with ASHA workers and ANMs for maternal and child health services
