VMH Secretary and Curator Recruitment 2026: Overview
Victoria Memorial Hall (VMH), an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Culture, is recruiting a Secretary and Curator for its Kolkata institution. - Lead Victoria Memorial Hall as Head of Department.
- Carry out the Secretary’s functions under the VMH Act 1903.

- Implement directions from the Chairman and Trustees.
- Ensure compliance with government policies for autonomous organisations and VMH.
- Work under the oversight of the Trustees and Executive and Finance Committees.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Direct recruitment: first-class M.A. in Modern History or an equivalent first-class Honours degree from a recognised university, or second-class M.A. with a doctorate in a subject relating to Modern Indian History. Research publications and the ability...

First-class Diploma in Museology; travel to at least 2 countries known for museum development.
