Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited, is recruiting Supervisors in Nesting and Mechanical for its regular workforce at Malpe, Karnataka. Posts and Disciplines

• Supervisor (Nesting): This stream relates to nesting, plate processing, computer-controlled cutting, production planning and computer-aided design and manufacturing in shipbuilding or related engineering operations. The notified position is unreserved.
• Supervisor (Mechanical): This stream relates to piping, machinery and structural outfitting in shipbuilding, ship repair and related engineering operations. The notified position is reserved for Scheduled Tribe applicants.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Posting and mobility: Your assignment may be at UCSL or another company unit or project site. The service commitment includes departments, ships, worksites and projects elsewhere in India or abroad, depending on company needs.
• Joining terms: Pay protection is not available. UCSL also does not take over liabilities from your previous employer, such as leave salary, gratuity or pension contributions.
• Current government employment: If you hold a regular government job or work in a government-owned organisation, you must inform your employer in writing about your application. An objection from that employer can stop your candidature from being considered.
• Travel costs: UCSL does not pay travel allowance for attending the written tests. SC/ST applicants attending document verification may receive the permitted sleeper-class rail or bus fare by the shortest route, subject to the company rules and proof of travel.
• Reserve list: The rank list can remain valid for up to 18 months from the reporting date of the last advised candidate, or until a fresh notice for the same post. UCSL may use it for non-joining or later separation, at its discretion.
• Recruitment changes: UCSL may change the number of openings, leave posts unfilled or change or cancel the recruitment. Placement depends on suitable applicants, available projects and the company’s work requirements.
• Communication: Call letters will not arrive by post. Watch your email and the company careers pages for the download instructions and any amendments to this notice.
