Tripura University (A Central University since 2 July 2007, established under the Tripura University Act, 2006) has released Employment Notification No. F.TU/REG/ADVT/NT/2026/1, dated 11 August 2026, to fill 3 Group-A non-teaching positions: Registrar, Controller of Examinations, and Senior System Analyst. The Registrar and Controller of Examinations posts are tenure appointments for five years (or until superannuation at 62, whichever comes first), while the Senior System Analyst post is a regular Group-A appointment. If you already applied for the Controller of Examinations post under the 2025 advertisement, you do not have to pay the fee again — you only need to submit a fresh form with the same personal details.

Who Can Apply?

For Registrar (Level 14):

• Qualification: Master's Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
• Experience: At least 15 years as an Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 or above, OR 8 years in Academic Level 12 or above (including service as Associate Professor) with experience in educational administration.
• Alternate Route: Comparable experience in a research establishment or institution of higher education, OR 15 years of administrative experience of which at least 8 years must be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
• Age: Preferably below 57 years.

For Controller of Examinations (Level 14) and Senior System Analyst (Level 12):

Note: Your experience is counted only from the date you complete the minimum educational qualification required for the post.

Age Limit

• For the Registrar post, you should preferably be below 57 years of age.
• Age and all other eligibility conditions will be reckoned as on 11 September 2026, the last date of application.
• Age Relaxation: Candidates from SC/ST/OBC/PwBD or other reserved categories get relaxation in age, experience and qualifying marks as per UGC/Government of India guidelines. Upload your category certificate along with the application.

Salary

• Registrar and Controller of Examinations: Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200 per month (Pay Level 14, 7th CPC).
• Senior System Analyst: Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month (Pay Level 12, 7th CPC).
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Central Government/UGC rules.

• If you already submitted an application for the Controller of Examinations post under the 2025 advertisement (No. F.TU/REG/ADVT./NT/GR-A/2025), you do not need to pay the fee again — just fill a fresh application with the same details.

Selection Process

Tripura University will select candidates as per its Cadre Recruitment Rules – 2023:

1. Screening of Applications: A Screening Committee reviews every application, including any claim for relaxation in qualification, experience or qualifying marks.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview.
3. Document Verification: Your certificates and eligibility documents are checked before final appointment.

Note: The University may draw a reserve panel. If a higher-merit candidate declines to join within six months, or resigns or passes away within one year of joining, the offer moves to the next candidate on the merit list.

Once appointed, you will be governed by the University's Act, Statutes, Ordinances and Rules, as well as the CCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964 and CCS (CCA) Rules, 1965 applicable to central government employees. The University also reserves the right to not fill any of the advertised posts.
