TMC has invited applications for 1 Senior Resident post in the Department of Palliative Medicine. The appointment is for one year from the date of joining, with a strong preference given to candidates willing to be placed at the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (HBCH&RC), New Chandigarh, Punjab. No written exam is required — selection is entirely through a walk-in interview. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: MD (Palliative Medicine) or MD (Anaesthesiology) or an equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by the NMC/MCI.
• Nationality: You must be an Indian National.
• Government Employees: If you currently work under a Central/State Government body, Autonomous Body, or PSU, you must get permission from your Head of Department and carry it to the interview (through proper channel), or you will not be allowed to appear.

Age Limit

• You should be up to 40 years old, reckoned as on the date of the walk-in interview.
• Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category candidates as per Government of India instructions.
• Your relevant work experience is counted from the date you completed your essential qualification.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 1,33,623 to Rs. 1,45,530 per month.
• Your exact salary within this range depends on your relevant work experience gained after completing your essential qualification.
• Sharing accommodation may be provided on a chargeable basis, subject to availability.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through a single stage:

1. Walk-in Interview: Attend directly with your documents — there is no written test for this post. TMC reserves the right to set a minimum eligibility benchmark and restrict the number of candidates called for interview, based on the number of vacancies and your academic marks.
