THSTI Project Associate Recruitment 2026: Overview

Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is recruiting project staff for research teams working at the NCR Biotech Science Cluster in Faridabad. The current opportunities in this rolling notice span infectious-disease laboratory work, mathematical modelling of metabolism, and scientific web-application development. Each role belongs to a named research project, so your academic background and practical experience should match the project you choose rather than only the broad post label.

The infectious-disease role supports a comparative study of tuberculosis-causing pathogens and their interaction with host cells. The computational roles belong to a project that is building a whole-body lipid-metabolism model for studying non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and turning that research into a usable web tool. These are short-term research appointments, not regular institute posts.

Posts and Disciplines

• Project Associate-I — infectious diseases: laboratory and analysis work covering host-pathogen studies, immunological assays, molecular biology and drug-screening data.
• Senior Project Associate — mathematical modelling: computational research in differential-equation and genome-scale metabolic models, numerical simulation and network analysis.
• Project Associate-I — scientific web development: software and interface work that turns the laboratory's mathematical model into a practical web-based application.

Post-wise Duties

Project Associate-I — Infectious Diseases

You will work with bacterial or viral research material, support cell-culture and ELISA work, and analyse results from biochemical and molecular experiments. The team also expects comfort with PCR, cloning, RNA extraction, cDNA preparation and RT-PCR where the study needs them.

Senior Project Associate — Mathematical Modelling

You will develop and analyse the mathematical model, lead the laboratory's computational analysis and work with large datasets. Experience with tools such as Matlab, Maple or R will help you move between simulation, network analysis and biological interpretation.

Project Associate-I — Web Development

You will build the web application and user interface for the modelling project. The role combines Python-based development with front-end technologies and database work, with an emphasis on making a research tool clear and usable.

• Tenure: appointments are short-term and any extension depends on satisfactory performance and the life of the relevant project; the role does not create a claim to regular employment.
