TANUVAS Project Associate I Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) has issued Notification No. 165/ANN/SFS-FFT/VCRI/NKL/2026 dated 10 June 2026 for a Project Associate-I position under the Self-Financing Scheme on Feed and Fodder Technology. The post is based in the Department of Animal Nutrition, Veterinary College and Research Institute, Mohanur Road, Namakkal. The engagement is purely temporary and is initially for three years, with extension based on performance and project need.

This role is a good fit if you can work with feed technology, feed mill operations, quality control, accounts and product development. The selected candidate must work full-time and should be ready to join immediately after the result is announced.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• Master's route: Master's degree in Veterinary, Animal Science or Fisheries in any subject.
• Agricultural sciences route: Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences with PG Diploma in Feed Manufacturing Technology.
• B.Tech route: B.Tech in Poultry Production Technology, Food Processing, Agricultural Engineering or Fisheries Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum marks: You need at least 55% marks or equivalent qualification.

Desirable Qualification

• Higher degree: M.V.Sc. in Animal Nutrition or Livestock Products Technology, M.F.Sc. in Fish Nutrition and Feed Technology, or relevant M.Tech.
• Computer skills: Computer operation, accounting software and typing are desirable.
• Experience: Feed mill, food processing, feed technology research or related work experience is desirable.
• Test qualification: NET, GATE or any approved eligibility test is desirable and also affects the salary level.
• Language: Knowledge of Tamil to read, write and speak is desirable.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is 35 years as on the closing date or walk-in date, 22 June 2026.
• Age relaxation: Up to 5 years relaxation is allowed for SC, ST, OBC, Women and other special category candidates as per rules.

Salary

• NET/GATE or approved test qualified candidates: Rs. 31,000 plus HRA per month.
• Other candidates: Rs. 25,000 plus HRA per month.
• Revision note: If a selected candidate gets the approved qualification after joining, the revised wage of Rs. 31,000 will be paid from the date of acquiring that qualification.

Selection Process

The TANUVAS selection will include a written test and an interview. Original certificates must be produced during the walk-in process.

1. Reporting and Application Check: Bring the filled application with photo, self-attested copies and original certificates to the venue by 9:30 AM.
2. Written Test: An English MCQ written test will be conducted for 30 marks and 45 minutes.
3. Interview Shortlisting: You need at least 50% in the written test to attend the interview.
4. Interview: Selection will consider written test marks, educational qualification, experience, recognitions and interview performance.
5. Document Verification: Original certificates, NOC if already employed and medical fitness certificate at joining are required.

Duties and Project Work

The selected Project Associate-I will work on Feed and Fodder Technology activities at the Namakkal campus. The role is not only a desk job; it includes unit supervision, procurement, quality checks, records and project coordination.

• Unit operation: Supervise, monitor and coordinate operation and maintenance of the Feed and Fodder Technology unit.
• Procurement and quality: Support procurement, feed evaluation and quality control work.
• Records: Maintain stock, stores, accounts and regular reports connected with the project.
• Academic support: Help with teaching, research, extension, product development and validation activities related to feed and fodder technology.
