TANUVAS Project Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS), through its Veterinary College and Research Institute at Salem, has invited applications for 1 Project Assistant post under the Chief Minister's Research Grant (CMRG) funded project titled "Empowering Farmers: A mobile App for Conjunctival and dung based self-assessment for early detection of Ruminant health issues". This is a walk-in interview based recruitment with no online application. Selection happens through a written exam followed by an interview on a single day.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification: You must hold a graduate degree in Veterinary Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Applied Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or related disciplines from a recognised university or equivalent.
• Desirable: Basic knowledge of computer applications, software design, and web app development is preferred.
• Working professionals: If you are currently employed, you must produce a No Objection Certificate from your present employer at the interview.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 40 years
• Age relaxation as per ASRR, TANUVAS Chennai norms

Salary

• Monthly remuneration: Rs. 25,000 per month (consolidated)
• No House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be paid
• The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project

Selection Process

Selection happens in 2 stages on the same day:

1. Written Examination: Only shortlisted candidates will be called.
2. Interview: Held immediately after the written test on 11 June 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary College and Research Institute, Salem.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written exam or interview. Mere attendance does not guarantee selection — final selection is based purely on merit as per ASRR, TANUVAS Chennai norms.
