TANUVAS Project Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) has opened 1 Project Assistant position under the Chief Minister's Research Grant (CMRG) project titled "Development of dendritic cell-targeted combined vaccine against lumpy skin disease and hemorrhagic septicaemia in cattle". There is no written exam — selection is through walk-in interview. Freshers and post-graduates in veterinary or life sciences can apply.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• You must be a graduate in Veterinary Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Applied Microbiology, Virology, Molecular Biology or related disciplines from a recognised University

Desirable Qualification

• Post-graduate degree in any of the above subjects
• Knowledge of animal cell culture techniques, basic virology techniques, molecular biology techniques and bioinformatics

Original degree/provisional degree certificates must be produced at the time of interview. Candidates with only photocopies will not be allowed to attend.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 45 years
• Age relaxation will be given as per rules

Salary

• You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 25,000 per month
• No House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be paid
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Screening and Shortlisting: All candidates will be screened before the interview
2. Written Test (if conducted): A written test may also be conducted before the interview
3. Walk-in Interview: Conducted on 2 June 2026 at 11:00 AM at Central University Laboratory, TANUVAS, Madhavaram
4. Document Verification: Original certificates will be verified on the spot

Decision of the Director, Centre for Animal Health Studies, TANUVAS will be final and binding.

• Help in preparing samples, reagents and experimental setups
• Support data collection, compilation and reporting for the project
• Follow lab safety protocols and biosafety guidelines
