TANUVAS Project Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post (Namakkal)

Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) has issued a notification for 1 Project Assistant post at the Department of Livestock Products Technology (Meat Science), Veterinary College and Research Institute, Mohanur Road, Namakkal - 637 002. The position is under the CMRG project titled Development of ready-to-eat shelf-stable functional meat products for boosting entrepreneurship. The role is for a duration of 3 years (up to 31 January 2029 or till project completion, whichever is earlier).

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification (any one):

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Sciences, OR
• Master's degree in Livestock Products Technology, OR
• M.Sc in Food Processing / Food Technology, OR
• M.Tech in Poultry Technology
• First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying degree is preferable

Desirable Qualification / Experience:

• Experience in meat products development
• Experience in meat processing equipment handling
• Experience in meat products quality assessment
• Research publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Proficiency in research data analysis and computer operations

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 45 years old
• Age relaxation as per Government/TANUVAS norms

Salary

• Consolidated salary of Rs. 25,000 per month
• No other allowances
• Position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project
• Initial appointment for one year, extended annually based on satisfactory performance

Selection Process

1. Application Screening: Applications will be screened based on academic qualifications, experience, and research credentials
2. Written Test (if needed): If many applications are received, a written test may be conducted to shortlist candidates
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email or phone and called for interview

Final selection is based on written test performance, interview, and relevant experience. No TA/DA will be paid.
