Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR) is hiring for 4 regular Group B and Group C posts. The posts are Speech Therapist, Senior Stenographer, Radiographer Grade-I and Laboratory Technician Grade-I. Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR), Cuttack, is an autonomous institute under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The institute has released a direct recruitment notice dated 9 June 2026 for four regular posts. Who Can Apply?

Speech Therapist

• Qualification: You need a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology.
• Desirable experience: 2 years experience in the line is desirable.
• Age: Below 40 years.

Senior Stenographer

• Qualification: You must have passed Matriculation or equivalent.
• Shorthand: You need 120 words per minute in shorthand.
• Typing: You need 50 words per minute in typewriting.
• Age: Below 40 years.

Radiographer Grade-I

• Education: You need +2 Science with Biology or Mathematics as one subject.
• Technical qualification: You need DMRT or Diploma in Radiography from a recognised institution.
• Experience: You need 5 years experience as Radiographer, preferably in an Orthopedic Department.
• Desirable: Degree in Medical Radiation Technology is desirable.

Laboratory Technician Grade-I

• Education: You must have passed Matriculation.
• Technical course: You need a Laboratory Technician Course.
• Experience: You need 5 years experience as Laboratory Technician.

Age Limit

• Maximum age for the notified posts is below 40 years or 40 years, as mentioned post-wise.
• Age cut-off: Age, qualification and post-qualification experience will be counted as on the last date of online application, 20 July 2026.
• SC/ST/OBC/PwD: Age relaxation will be as per Government of India rules.
• Departmental / Government / Autonomous Body employees and Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation will be as per Government of India rules.
• UR vacancies: SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against UR vacancies will not get category relaxation for those UR posts.

Salary

• Speech Therapist: Pay Matrix Level-6, Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month.
• Senior Stenographer: Pay Matrix Level-6, Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month.
• Radiographer Grade-I: Pay Matrix Level-6, Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month.
• Laboratory Technician Grade-I: Pay Matrix Level-5, Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month.
• Allowances: Other allowances, LTC, medical reimbursement and benefits will be at par with Government of India rules.

• SC / ST: Rs. 500
• PwD candidates: No fee

• Extra charges: Bank transaction or processing fees, if any, must be paid by the candidate.

Selection Process

SVNIRTAR selection can include written test, skill test and interview, depending on the post and recruitment rules.

1. Written Test: For posts where desirable qualification and desirable experience are both required, the objective written test carries 80% weightage.
2. Desirable Qualification: If applicable, desirable qualification carries 10% weightage.
3. Desirable Experience: If applicable, desirable experience carries 10% weightage.
4. Skill Test: For posts such as Senior Stenographer, skill-based assessment may be used as per the recruitment rules.
5. Interview / Document Check: SVNIRTAR may call only suitable candidates for interview or written test, and original documents will be checked before appointment.
