SNMC Agra Medical Faculty Recruitment 2026: Overview

Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra (SNMC Agra) is engaging medical faculty on contract for the college and its associated hospitals. This walk-in is part of the college's ongoing Saturday recruitment process, covering general medical and super-speciality departments.

Posts and Disciplines

• Professor: The revised table lists openings in Forensic Medicine and Medical Gastroenterology. The earlier Professor entries for Transfusion Medicine and Cardiology are no longer included.
• Assistant Professor: Departments include Anatomy, Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Forensic Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, Pharmacology, Physiology, Pediatrics, Microbiology and Neuro Surgery.
• Associate Professor: This rank remains in the general recruitment wording and contract conditions, but the revised vacancy columns contain no opening at this level.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The initial contract lasts one year. An extension depends on satisfactory work, the college's need and the absence of a selected regular teacher through the Public Service Commission.
• Joining: You must take up duty within one month of the appointment order. The appointment is automatically cancelled if you do not join within that period.
• Service status: Contract service will not count towards seniority or future regularisation. These are contractual teaching appointments, not regular posts.
• Private practice: You cannot conduct private practice during institutional working hours, generally 8 AM to 4 PM, or on OPD call days.
• Availability: You must tell the Principal where you practise privately and remain available for emergency and duty services at the college and hospital.
• Travel: The college will not pay TA/DA for attending. You will need to make your own travel arrangements.
• Reservation: Government reservation orders apply. The advertised number of posts may increase or decrease.
• Earlier appointments: The notice preserves appointments made under the 1998 teacher-qualification regulations or earlier council recommendations through its saving clause.
